Telephone operator / Exchange

One of the important support divisions of the hospital which provides a service of no less importance than the other divisions to the personnel and public. The division receives incoming telephone calls and routes them to the required destination, pages physicians, and other personnel, operates the public address system and activates the Code Red in cases of emergency to summon Physicians on duty.

This division also receives letters and messages from the mail department and distributes to mail boxes or hand carries them to the various divisions of the hospital. It receives outgoing messages from the Hospital divisions, registers and delivers them to the post office and handles parcels post.
