The BDF-RMS Burn Unit is one the burn care centers in Bahrain. Since its opening in February 2015, the burn unit has expanded to become one of the largest and most technologically advanced burn centers in Bahrain and in the region, serving both entitled and civilian patients.
The mission of the Burn Unit is not only to save lives, but to reach "beyond survival," improving the patient's quality of life by returning him or her to a maximum level of function and activity in society. Since its opening, the burn center has treated hundreds of inpatients and outpatients.
The Burn Unit is dedicated to total treatment and rehabilitation of acute, chronic and convalescing burn patients. At Burn Unit, a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to burn care is provided through a team of highly skilled medical, nursing and support personnel. The primary goal of burn center care is not only to save the life of the burn patient, but also restore the patient to the highest level of social, psychological and vocational function possible.
