The ambulance department of the Royal Medical Services with its counterpart at Salmaniya Medical Center offers advance pre-hospital emergency medical care as part of its nation wide integrated public services available free of charge to the kingdom’s entire population.

Department Mission

(PEACE TIME)

The mission in peacetime is to provide an effective and efficient pre-hospital emergency care and transport all casualties involved in any incidents to the definitive care for further treatment. The care also includes the transfer of patients from hospital to another in the kingdom or abroad. This service is provided for the whole population of Bahrain as general and to support the BDF personnel and their families in specific.

(WAR AND DISASTER)

To provide an emergency and pre-hospital emergency care and to support the BDF and share in any type of contingency plans for the entire Kingdom of Bahrain in accordance to the BDF Royal Medical Services Disaster Plan Manual and as order by the General Head Quarters of Bahrain Defence Force.
