Blood Bank Announcement

As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National efforts against COVID-19, BDFRMS announces the initiation of collecting blood donations from people recovered from COVID-19 and prepare the convalescent plasma that has been proven to be effective in treating patients with other severe viral infections. The first randomized controlled trial will be conducted in Bahrain to test the efficacy of plasma in treating COVID-19 patients.
